Secant Publishing, LLC is an independent publishing company located in Salisbury, Maryland -- the hub of Delmarva. We focus on finding emerging voices as well as past masters who deserve to see the light of a new day. To nominate a manuscript for publication please email it to the address below. Our books may be published in paperback or hardcover, depending on their genre and associated market expectations.
All titles are published in ebook format, as well.
Secant Publishing has a special interest in Chesapeake Bay-centric fiction and nonfiction. The transom is wide open for all aspiring authors, including Black and Native American writers, who continue to be under-represented in the literature of the Eastern Shore (notwithstanding the extraordinary success of such old and modern classics such as the several autobiographies of Frederick Douglass; Song Yet Sung by James McBride; and Kindred by Olivia Butler).
Manuscripts should be submitted in 12-pt Times New Roman or the equivalent, with standard one-inch margins. Please query first with an email to Ron Sauder, publisher, at editor@secantpublishing.com.
